Sept. 10 Agents Editors Writers A one-day small workshop with top notch editors and agents, a chance to get feedback and critiques. (Belgrade Lakes, ME)

Oct. 15 Rutgers One-on-One Conference Conference with a one-on-one format with authors and illustrators meeting with agents, editors, art directors, or published authors & illustrators. Application deadline is June 27.

A five-week interactive online class with authors Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen and Marcie Colleen focusing on plot in children's picture books.


The May 2016 course will be taught by Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen, Marcie Colleen, and special guest lecturer, Agent Susan Hawk of The Bent Agency!


Sierra Nevada College in Lake Tahoe- A low residency MFA in Writing has added a new MFA track in Writing for Children and Young Adults.

Designed by writers, for writers, SNC Tahoe's low-residency MFA program boasts a faculty of noteworthy children’s and young adult authors and industry professionals including: Ellen Hopkins, A.S. King, Lisa Papademetriou, Joe MCGee, e.E. Charlton-Trujillo, Gayle Brandeis, Pablo Cartaya, and children's literary agent, Jess Regel. In addition to faculty author and agent mentors, students work with an editor during their graduating semester. It's one of the only programs in the country to offer such a unique graduate education.
