A Bonus One-Question Interview for Alysson: How does writing a series differ from writing a standalone picture book?

Writing a series is different from writing a standalone book in that you are able to help readers connect with characters on a deeper level like they have known them for years. A reader who connects with Alycat and friends in one book will feel like they are hanging out with old friends in subsequent books. They feel comfortable relying on the character’s past traits to get them through new adventures.

As an author, writing a series of books allows the author to express their creativity and ideas in multiple books versus just one. Sky’s the limit!
