Picture Book Giveaway

We are pleased to host a giveaway of the picture book, Fishing with Grandpa and Skye, by Candace Spizziri, illustrated by Beverly Love Warren (Clear Fork Publishing, 2022). Enter to win a copy in the Rafflecopter below.

About the book: Days on the lake are a Skye and Grandpa thing. They load up their tackle box, hop aboard their skiff, and chug out to their favorite fishing spot. Today, the sun is shining, the fish are jumping, but will Skye hook a big one? Fishing with Grandpa and Skye explores the rewards of patience and celebrates the love between generations.

About the author: Candace Spizzirri grew up in a small town in New Jersey with tree-lined streets and old Victorian houses. As a child, she spent hours playing in the park, catching minnows in a nearby stream, and exploring the woods at the end of her street. Passionate about education, she is a co-founder of an elementary school and high school in Southern California where she now makes her home. Candace loves spending time with her husband, two children, daughter-in-law, and four grandkids. FISHING WITH GRANDPA AND SKYE is her debut picture book. Follow Candace at candacespizzirri.com

About the illustrator: Beverly Love Warren is the illustrator of My Child My Princess and Have You Seen Mouse, which she also authored. Having graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where she studied illustration, she now makes her home in Washington state where she lives with her husband. When she is not with brush and paint in hand you can find her writing stories, hiking, at church, or enjoying time spent with her three children and six grandchildren.

Comments

  1. Both of my sons are very close with their grandfather. He taught them to fish at a young age. At ages 22 and 25, my sons credit their love for the outdoors and fly fishing to Grampie. I can't wait to read this book.
