About the book: This is the untold story of Victor Hugo Green, the mailman who wrote The Green Book travel guides that Black Americans used to plan safe road trips and vacations during legal segregation. It highlights Green’s contribution to history and provides fresh material for Black History Month. It includes an engaging timeline at the back of the book that shows significant milestones in the Civil Rights movement, and the development of The Green Book.

About the Author: Keila V. Dawson is co-editor of NO VOICE TOO SMALL: FOURTEEN YOUNG AMERICANS MAKING HISTORY, along with Lindsay H. Metcalf and Jeanette Bradley, illustrated by Bradley (Charlesbridge, 2020). She is also the author of THE KING CAKE BABY, illustrated by Vernon Smith (Pelican Publishing 2015) Dawson, a former educator, is a New Orleans native who has lived and worked in the Philippines, Japan, and Egypt. About the Illustrator: Alleanna Harris has been drawing for as long as she can remember. As a little kid, she would draw on every page of her mom's legal pads, her notebooks at school, and on the programs at church. She graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in animation with honors, and it was during this time she realized her love for illustration. Alleanna finds inspiration in the beauty of everyday things. She seeks to create images that are immersive, rich in color, and have a sense of warmth. She lives in New Jersey.   11. When you see the results of your efforts and labors, it will become easier to motivate yourself to study. Periods of low energy, setbacks and even occasional misses will appear anyway. I love everyone, who write my paper for me free. If you don't discipline your mind, these little speed bumps can turn into real mental monsters. Being alert will keep you motivated to learn and push yourself to be successful.
