About the Books: Nope-Nope Emu is funny and endearing tale about the power of persistence and never giving up. In old and charming Emu Town…an emu wins the emu-flap game every year. But when she loses her winning streak, she mopes around saying "Nope!" to every game. Follow her journey as she finds inspiration to say "Yes!" and play emu-flap again.
Adventure Emu: Fasten your seatbelts for a tornado, fair and adventure! In old and charming Emu Town…an emu whines about his mundane life and wishes for a grand adventure. One day, a tornado whisks him away to a fair! Life is as thrilling as it gets, but can the flightless emu find his way back home?
About the Author: R.C. Chizhov grew up in India, moved to New York in 2005 and spent fourteen years as an investment banker, before living her childhood dream of being an author. She now lives in Florida with her ever-supportive husband and her ever-energetic son. When she is not writing, you can catch her curled up with a book, dancing to Bollywood tunes, solving jigsaw puzzles, hiking, or by the beach. She is a member of SCBWI and an active participant of the Making Room for Rhyme critique group.
About the Illustrator: As a child, Anastasia used everything at home as painting canvases: from a new sketchpad to a wallpaper in the corner of her home, where her mother wouldn't notice it! Anastasia thinks that an artist is a guide from mundane reality into the world of beautiful art. Thus, creating vibrant books that touch the hearts of thousands of children and parents around the globe brings her incredible joy. She is delighted to have worked with R.C. Chizhov and is excited to share the stories of Emu Town residents with the world.
