Picture Book Giveaway

We are pleased to host a giveaway of the picture book, Freddie the Fly: Seeing Through Another Lens, by Kim Delude, illustrated by Brian Martin (Boys Town Press 2023). Enter to win via the Rafflecopter below.

About the Book: Freddie assumes everyone sees, thinks, and feels the exact same way he does. That's why he doesn't get why no one likes his cool gash or why his friend didn't get in trouble for pushing him. His narrow view is becoming a problem.  To help Freddie be more empathetic, sensitive, and understanding toward the opinions, attitudes and feelings of others, Nurse Mantis encourages him to use “perspective-taking lenses.” Will that switch Freddie’s outlook from ME to WE? Or will he continue to annoy his friends and family by seeing every situation from only one side – his?  Seeing Through Another Lens is an entertaining addition to the  Freddie the Fly  storybook series which focuses on teaching young readers valuable life skills, such as active listening, staying focused, and understanding social cues.

About the Author: Kimberly Delude, M.A., CCC-SLP, worked for a national sports team before earning her MA at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst’s Department of Education. Kimberly has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association and works as a Speech Language Pathologist in the public schools. She spends her days giving kids a voice and uses her humorous tales to help children have fun while improving their communication skills. Kimberly is the author of the award winning Freddie the Fly book series, celebrating children who demonstrate good character and teaching communication skills. She's also the author of the award-winning self-published series Fairy Tales 2.0 and has an early reader being published in 2025 by The Little Press Publishing.

About the Illustrator: Brian is a professional writer and illustrator from Richmond, Virginia.  His passion is in illustrating for Children's Picture Books, and he's been fortunate enough to work with a number of publishers and self-published authors. He's a fun, creative guy who loves bringing stories to life with illustrations.
