Picture Book Giveaway

We are pleased to host a giveaway of the picture book, Gray Squirrel Loses It! written & illustrated by Cassandra Federman (Penguin Random House), out on Oct. 21. Enter to win a copy via the widget below.

About the Book:  Welcome to the forest, where a fact-filled tour awaits. That is…until a frantic squirrel bursts onto your page searching for his misplaced nut. Help him find it in this hilarious picture book, perfect for fans of The Leaf Thief and The Interrupting Chicken.

About the Author-Illustrator:  Cassandra Federman spent much of her childhood in Massachusetts tromping through the temperate deciduous forest—though at the time, she just called it “the woods.” Over the course of her life, she has been many things: a hand model, a wrestler, a manatee rescuer, an actor, and a mystic wood elf—but her favorite so far has been an author-illustrator. Her previous books include This Is a Sea Cow, This Is a Seahorse, which won the ILA Children’s & Young Adults’ Book Award, and the young middle grade graphic novel, Story Spinners.

About the Book:
Limelight is a 3-act, genre-busting, poetry graphic novel that chronicles a middle-school musical theater production from auditions to rehearsals to the drama of opening night. Fresh and funny mask poems personify all elements of theater, giving voice to the script, the rehearsal piano, the costumes, the dressing room mirror, and more, while bold comic illustrations reveal the behind-the-scenes story.

About the Author: Renée M. LaTulippe is a poet, writer, and lifelong theater person. She is the author of the poem picture book The Crab Ballet and has poems published in many anthologies, including No World Too Big and Night Wishes. Renée lives in Italy with her husband and three children. www.reneelatulippe.com

About the Illustrator: Chuck Gonzales is an illustrator and writer of graphic novels. He is the illustrator of the Princess Power series and the author-illustrator of the graphic novels Carlos Gomez Freestyles, The Aguados on Ice!, and Elena Eco-Hero. Chuck and his husband divide their time between New York and Rhode Island. www.chuckgonzales.com
