In the wake of the horrifying news from Orlando, it is more important than ever to have children's books that promote tolerance, love, kindness, and respect. A couple of items:

  • Providing books that speak to vulnerable kids is more important than ever. Several authors have written about schools rescinding invitations over potentially controversial stories: Kate Messner (author of SEVEN WISHES who was disinvited from a school visit), R.J. Palacio 

New Agent alert: Lindsay Mealing, Junior Agent at Emerald City, represents science fiction, fantasy, and YA
