About the book: Finding Familiars is a whimsical, rhyming picture book for lovers of nature, magic and imagination. It introduces readers to the Familiar Finders Society, who seek out and observe magical creatures known as Familiars. With its lyrical rhymes and cozy illustrations, Finding Familiars makes a wonderful read-aloud or early reader book.
About the author: Tim Devine has been writing, creating and playing in imaginary worlds all his life and, now the father of two young, imaginative children, he has no plans to stop. An ENnie Award winning writer and tabletop game designer, his work has been published in storytelling games, such as Adorablins, Questlings, and Color My Quest. Living in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, he and his family are often out exploring nature, having fun and enjoying games together.
About the illustrator: Leo Assis is an illustrator based in Brazil, where he worked as a graphic designer, but his real passion is illustration. Humor and adventure are always present in his drawings and in many aspects of his life. Leo has fun creating interesting characters and unusual scenes and much of his inspiration comes from the little, everyday things in life.
