About the Author: Dano Moreno started writing for kids when he became a father. This is his debut book. He is also the author of Our Wish for You: A Story About Open Adoption. When not writing, Dano works as a public health advocate and enjoys time with his husband and son in Portland, Oregon.
About the Illustrator: Hannah Abbo is a self-taught, award-winning illustrator from the United Kingdom. They currently live with their partner, child, and cat in Lisbon, Portugal. When they’re not drawing, they love making ceramics, visiting the botanical gardens, and baking bread.

About the Author-Illustrator: Olga Herrera is the author and illustrator of The Unwelcome Surprise. She is a Florida native with a strong Cuban and Ecuadorian heritage which color all aspects of her life. Olga is bilingual and her preferred language is Spanglish! She teaches illustration and storytelling, is the co-funder and co-host of IlloChat, a podcast for illustrators in children’s publishing. Olga has been a long time member or the SCBWI and has served a mentor. She lives in Maryland with her family and too many pets.
