Picture Book Month, a month-long celebration of picture books founded by Dianne de Las Casas, and co-run by Katie Davis, Elizabeth O. Dulemba, Tara Lazar, and Wendy Martin is happening this month. Follow along for daily inspiration and celebration by well-known picture book authors.



AUTHOR AND AGENT SPOTLIGHTS

This week we feature picture book author Ruth Spiro, whose board books BABY LOVES QUARKS! and BABY LOVES AEROSPACE ENGINEERING! illustrated by Irene Chan (Charlesbridge) just came out. Be sure to enter into her giveaway.

July 19 - 23 Stonybrook Children's Literature Conference  Five days of intensive writing craft workshops with a top-notch author in Picture Book, Middle Grade, and YA, with opportunities to "cross-pollinate" learning from the many other sessions in the entire Arts Summer program. Limited to 12 participants in each kidlit type. (Southhampton, Long Island)
