Nonfiction Proposal Guidelines (for MG, YA)




  • What: write a story for kids under 12 years old with a maximum word count of 50 words; post your story on your blog or in the comments of the contest blog (Vivian Kirkfield)
  • Prizes: books, a mini-critique, a critique by agent Essie White, a nonfiction class
  • What: Submit Christian-based fiction stories aimed at children 6-12 years old between 750 and 1000 words (application opens on March 15)
  • Prize: $500 and publication in magazine. 10 runners up will be held for future consideration
