The American Library Association held its annual Youth Media Awards on January 24 to award excellent children and YA books. Check out the list of winners which include The Last Cuentista, by Donna Barbra Higuera (the Newbery Award) and Watercress, illustrated by Jason Chin, written by Andrea Wang (the Caldecott Award).
